In 2001, the year Unbridled started, our founder established a set of values to live by: character, change, credibility, and community.
These cornerstones hold our “Ways of Being” that make up the foundation of our company culture, and they serve as a guide as we continue to build a community where everyone can feel that they belong. These four guiding principles continue to shape Unbridled’s culture today.

CORNERSTONE

  • WAYS OF BEING

Character

  • BE TRUSTWORTHY
  • BE HOPEFUL
  • BE INFLUENTIAL

Change

  • BE FLEXIBLE
  • BE IMAGINATIVE
  • BE RESOURCEFUL

Credibility

  • BE COMMITTED
  • BE KNOWLEDGEABLE
  • BE ACCOUNTABLE

Community

  • BE ENGAGED
  • BE CARING
  • BE INCLUSIVE

We apply these principles across our business, and they are also the foundation of our contribution-based approach to success — one where the unique input and impact of each team member of the organization is paramount.

We are all a work in progress, and at our core understanding we know we are better together.

Inclusion and belonging at Unbridled has been an ongoing journey. We provide opportunities for every voice to be heard. We listen.

We have implemented ideas for improvements, education opportunities, and engagements to activate our values for this topic directly from the feedback we have received from our team. One catalyst for these activities and conversations is through our Belonging Team. This group of passionate volunteers from across our organization continue to drive our mission around inclusion and belonging forward for our entire team.

An Unbridled community takes all kinds

At Unbridled, our core mission is to help companies connect with their people. That can only be accomplished if we are first connecting and engaging authentically with ourselves, each other, our people, and all those with whom we collaborate. We are committed to creating a diverse, caring community where everyone, regardless of their background, identity or circumstance, can feel like they belong. With a healthy variety of perspectives, where every voice has a place to be heard, respected, and empowered, we are collectively rewarded as inclusion encourages teamwork and innovation.

This statement represents our beliefs and principles, our hopes and aspirations — it is a promise to be true to who we are. It serves as a framework for building a shared vision within our company. It charges us to confront actions that don’t line up with our cornerstones, and when it is applied across our community, it serves as a roadmap for inclusive decision-making.

We live this commitment through action.

There are several ways we act on our values related to inclusion and belonging:

Just as there is no finish line in professional excellence, there is no endpoint in a building a high-performance culture. We are committed to:

Hiring: In our hiring process we train all hiring managers on bias and other areas where their decisions can impact the diversity of the team. We review our job descriptions regularly to ensure alignment with our values and commitment to inclusion and belonging. We also have a structured interview process and consistent evaluation criteria to create a fair hiring environment for all candidates.

Onboarding: During our two-day orientation program new hires are educated on our culture, how our values play out day to day in our work and the emphasis we place on making sure each member of our team feels that they belong. We assign them a company advocate, encourage involvement in Unbridled Clubs and create multiple connection opportunities to have them feel part of the team from their first day.

Training: We conduct regular training across topics such as Bias Awareness, Understanding & Addressing Microaggressions, Privilege and Inclusive Leadership. These training sessions combine self-guided learning with optional drop-in conversations where participants are encouraged to provide feedback and talk about their experiences. These conversations give insight to the Belonging Team on how they can further our inclusion and belonging initiatives.

Partnering: Unbridled implements a comprehensive process to evaluate vendor partner diversity. Annually, we request that all our key vendors – defined by the scope of our financial engagement – complete a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Questionnaire. The responses are accessible to our team, enabling us to recommend DEI-compliant vendors to our clients. This process fosters working practices that prioritize Diversity in ongoing partnerships.

A Commitment to Continuous Growth

Just as there is no finish line in professional excellence, there is no endpoint in building a high-performance culture. We are committed to:

  • Ensuring our hiring and development practices reward skill, talent, and contribution.
  • Encouraging diverse perspectives in decision-making to drive better outcomes.
  • Creating an environment where respect and professionalism enable all voices to be heard.
  • Engaging with clients, partners and vendors who align with our values of excellence, integrity, and accountability.
